Protecting Northern Michigan's Water Resources

Pine River

The Pine River (a.k.a. the Channel) flows through Charlevoix from Lake Charlevoix to Round Lake, then Round Lake to Lake Michigan. It allows watercraft to travel from Lake Michigan to Charlevoix, Boyne City, East Jordan, and other ports. Recreational activities include boating and fishing. It houses both steelhead and brown trout populations, and is a known spot for anglers.
