Sturgeon River Campground Pavilion at 5564 Cedar St, Wolverine, MI 

Join us for the annual Nmé Celebration from 1 to 3 PM at the Sturgeon River Campground Pavilion at 5564 Cedar St, Wolverine, MI. This free community event is hosted in partnership with the Little Traverse Bay Bands Fisheries Enhancement Facility and celebrates the return of lake sturgeon to the Sturgeon River. 

Enjoy a community BBQ with refreshments, connect with others who care about our waters, and take part in a unique experience of releasing juvenile lake sturgeon into the Sturgeon River.

This is a popular event and can get crowded. We suggest bringing a camping chair if you have one, a reusable water bottle, and dressing for the weather so you can stay comfortable while enjoying the celebration.
