In September 2019, the Watershed Council hosted a webinar, Pipeline Permitting in Michigan: How to Effective Participate in the Decision-Making Process. The webinar was designed to raise awareness and increase understanding about the State of Michigan’s decision-making process regarding pipeline projects and how the public can effectively participate in the process. The webinar featured presentations from David Chislea, Manager of the Gas Operations Section for the Michigan Public Service Commission, and Joseph Haas, a fifth-year District Supervisor at the State of Michigan, Environment Great Lakes and Energy, Gaylord District Office, Water Resource Division.
