BeBot and Pixie Drone: Beach-Harbor Cleaning Robots at the Zoll St Beach in Harbor Springs

July 25 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Bebot, the beach cleaning robot

This event is subject to change due to weather conditions. The BeBot cannot operate in wet weather or after it rains.

The BeBot is a 100% electric, eco-friendly beach cleaning robot that mechanically sifts sand, rakes seaweed, and levels sandy areas to remove plastic waste and other debris without harming the local environment.

Pixie Drone is an electric, remote-controlled drone with a video camera that collects floating waste in marinas, harbors, lakes, and more. It has a 160 liter collection capacity, operates for up to 6 hours on a single charge, and is fully compatible with salt water, fresh water and brackish water.

The robots were obtained through a partnership with the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup (GLPC), through generous funding and support from North American energy company TC Energy. Please join us to check out the robots in action and learn how you can help reduce plastic pollution of our Northern Michigan waterways.
