Pixie Drone Launch: Floating Waste Collector Drone at the Petoskey Marina

July 3 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Pixie Drone

This event is subject to change due to weather conditions. The Pixie Drone cannot operate in large waves or harsh weather.

Pixie Drone is an electric, remote-controlled drone with a video camera that collects floating waste in marinas, harbors, lakes, and more. It has a 160 liter collection capacity, operates for up to 6 hours on a single charge, and is fully compatible with salt water, fresh water and brackish water.

Pixie Drone helps maintain the natural beauty of our waters while reducing the environmental impact of plastic pollution. It is 100% electric, and emits no harmful gases or greenhouse gases. The robot was obtained through a partnership with the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup (GLPC), through generous funding and support from North American energy company TC Energy. Please join us to check out the robots in action and learn how you can help reduce plastic pollution of our Northern Michigan waterways.
