Ice breaker: The Impact of Road Salt on Water Quality

Dr. Alan Steinman will discuss the environmental consequences of road salt, particularly its effects on water quality in Northern Michigan. As road salt accumulates in our waterways, it creates a growing threat to freshwater ecosystems. Dr. Steinman, a leading researcher from the Annis Water Resources Institute at Grand Valley State University, will provide insights on the latest research and potential solutions to this pressing issue.
