Petoskey Celebrates New Ruth Tucker Ayers Harris Watershed Discovery Center

Located at the Tip of The Mitt Watershed Council’s headquarters downtown Petoskey, this new space offers an educational hands-on experience to learn about Northern Michigan’s rich water resources. The Watershed Discovery Center is named in honor of Ruth Tucker Ayers Harris, a devoted 38-year member of the Watershed Council. Ruth left a mark on Northern Michigan with her dedication to environmental preservation. Our Executive Director, Heather Huffstutler and Education Manager, Eli Baker, comments on what the Watershed Discovery Center is about and what people can experience when they visit.
