Watershed Discovery Center Docent Training

August 12 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Want to help protect our waters and connect others to the places we love? Volunteer to become a Watershed Discovery Center Docent!

Docents are essential volunteers who welcome visitors, share information about our local lakes, rivers, and streams, and support educational programming at the Watershed Discovery Center in downtown Petoskey.

As a docent, you’ll help inspire curiosity, spark conversations about freshwater stewardship, and represent the mission of Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. Our upcoming Docent Training will give you the tools and confidence to engage with the public, no matter your background or experience level.

If you’re passionate about protecting water and want to help others understand why it matters, we’d love to have you on our team. We’ll work with you to create a schedule that fits your availability. There will be pizza at the training, so come hungry and ready to dive in!

No experience required—just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a love for freshwater.
